Hace un mes hice un tema de splashy mientras lo instalaba en mi portatil y ahora he decidido publicarlo para que la gente pueda usarlo.

Splashy es un programa para el arranque del sistema operativo que oculta el log de inicio bajo una imagen con una barra porcentual. Es muy parecido a bootsplash pero con una gran diferencia: es muchisimo más sencillo de instalar. No se necesita tocar para nada el kernel, ya que splashy es como un programa de arranque más.

El tema que he hecho esta basado en el tema Human de ubuntu para gdm, aquí tenéis una captura:

Para instalarlo, bajaros el archivo splashy-human-theme.tar.bz2 y seguid las instrucciones del fichero “README”.

I made a theme for splashy while I installed it on my laptop a month ago and now I’ve decided to publish it so people can use it.

Splashy is a program for the OS Boot process which hides the boot log under an image with a process bar. It’s similar to bootsplash but with a main difference: it’s easier to install. No kernel hacking is needed, because splashy it’s just another boot program more.

To install the theme, download the file splashy-human-theme.tar.bz2 and follow the instructions inside the “README” file.

The theme I’ve made is based on the Ubuntu Human theme for gdm, here you have a screenshot:
